ST. LOUIS — Teen shot while eating pizza: A 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg while eating pizza Saturday night in the LaSalle Park neighborhood. Police said the boy told officers he was eating pizza just before 11 p.m. in the 1000 block of Hickory Street when he heard several shots and felt pain in his left calf. He was taken to a hospital, but officers said the boy was uncooperative and could not provide any suspect information. The neighborhood is south of Chouteau, west of Interstate 44, and east of Tucker Boulevard. LADUE — One shot on parking lot after argument: One person was shot early Sunday morning near a shopping center near Interstate 170 and Ladue Road. Police said two people were driving on Interstate 170 around 2:30 a.m. when they began to argue and got off the highway at Ladue Road. During the argument, one person was shot on the parking lot in the 8800 block of Ladue Road, which is close to several retail businesses including Old Navy, Barnes & Noble and Schnucks. The person who was shot was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, according to police. The suspected shooter was chased by officers and arrested. ST. LOUIS — Man killed in Kingsway East shooting: A 56-year-old man was shot dead late Saturday night in the city’s Kingsway East neighborhood. He was found on the front steps of a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and neck around 11:40 p.m. in the 4700 block of Leduc Street, according to a police incident report. He was not conscious or breathing when officers arrived and was pronounced dead by EMS, police said. Additional information was not immediately available. ST. LOUIS — Man arrested after shooting outside balloon race: Police working security at an entrance to the Great Forest Park Balloon Race witnessed a shooting between two cars and chased the suspect into the park on Saturday. The officers reported seeing a 56-year-old man in a Chevrolet suburban shoot at a 20-yearold man in a Honda, according to an incident report. The officers were working security at the Kingshighway Boulevard and Barnes Hospital Drive entrance to the park. The shooter drove away into Forest Park toward the Muny, police said. Other officers in the park looked for the man and arrested him at the Muny. The man who was shot suffered a wound to his arm and was taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital. He is expected to survive, police said. Three other people were in the Honda but were uninjured, according to the incident report. The Great Forest Park Balloon Race celebrated the event’s 50th anniversary this weekend in Forest Park.
